Dan Boedigheimer, Ph.D - Palm III - 10:00 - 14:00 Aircraft Performance: Is It Legal, Is It Safe, Is It Smart?The Aircraft Performance workshop is designed to take the mystery out of calculating aircraft performance for operational scenarios.
Is it Legal? We will use scenarios from all segments of flight including takeoff, climb performance, enroute, and landing performance. Aircraft performance data from the Aircraft Flight Manual will be referenced as the primary way to calculate performance. Commercially available aircraft performance software packages will also be referenced in the workshop as alternate solutions to calculate performance.
Is it Safe? We will look at applying aircraft performance data to instrument procedures including Standard Instrument Departures (SIDs) and Instrument Approaches.
