9:00 - 10:30 Safety is not a Choice, It's a Commitment - A panel discussion with Captain Gene Cernan, Bob Agostino & Fred Baldwin
This panel discussion will be comprised of three veterans of different areas of aviation but all requiring a high level of safety awareness. Capt. Gene Cernan, USN (ret.), a Naval Aviator, Astronaut and last man to walk on the moon. Capt. Bob Agostino, trained accident investigator and corporate aviation department manager for over 35 years. CDR Fred Baldwin, USN (ret.) Naval Aviator and former air boss on USS Constellation. These gentlemen will give personal accounts of what safety culture has meant to them over the years . They will discuss why anything less than a commitment to be the best is unacceptable. They will explore the fact that safety in the space program, on the deck of an aircraft carrier and through the years in corporate aviation has much in common with present day aviation. The discussion will close with a question and answer session with the audience.
